Editorial Barrie Examiner April 15 2011 Something's wrong with a plan that bills motorists at accident scenes when firefighters attend. This practice is happening in many Ontario municipalities and on major provincial highways, and is about to be renewed in Barrie after a relatively brief pause. It will allow the fire department to charge $410 per truck, per hour when attending a crash on city streets, in accordance with Ontario transportation ministry (MTO) rates.
