Seeking $150,000 for "false and defamatory" postings By Maija Hoggett Simcoe.com Jun 30, 2011 NEW TECUMSETH - In response to a wrongful dismissal lawsuit filed by former clerk Gayla McDonald, New Tecumseth Mayor Mike MacEachern is launching a $150,000 countersuit for defamation of character. The countersuit also calls for a permanent injunction banning McDonald from "making, publishing, disseminating or broadcasting" the defamatory comments about MacEachern.
