In a word: brilliant. People were lined up at 3:15 for a 4:00 opening,Midhurst Ratepayers Association, MRA membership forms were being filled out, lots of talk about how 10,000 sprawl homes will drive taxes sky-high... Why not come out Friday 4 to 8 pm or Saturday 10 am to 2 pm? (All Simcoe County residents are welcome to sign.)

That's what Duffy says the waste sub-committee he chairs recommended after hearing presentations from Barrie, Orillia, Peel Region and Dufferin County.

Simcoe County's waste management subcommittee believes an incinerator is the best solution to the region's garbage woes.
"We have only got five and a half to six years (of ) capacity left at our landfill sites now, so we better get off our asses and get something done," said subcommittee chairman Ramara Township Mayor Bill Duffy said.
